Studio Newborn Session With Sibling - Vancouver Newborn Photographer

We had this sweet little in our Vancouver Newborn Studio at 2 weeks old. Parents didn’t want to be any of the pictures but they were excited about including their 2 year old daughter in the session.

Let me tell you! Toddlers are not easy to work with! But nothing is cuter than sibling photos! So I always encourage parents to bring along their other children so we can capture those heart melting sibling love moments. Of course we have to work with the toddler’s mood and sometimes you have to wait for them to be comfortable with the whole idea of a photo session. But little treats and stuffed animals are always a good way to get them to sit where you want, as well as a parent standing behind the photographer to make them smile.

In this session, our big sister was not really feeling it and no matter how hard we tried she wasn’t going to give us any smiles. But I did manage to get some cute expressions out of her. In the beginning she didn’t want to hold baby sister so we tried a prop shot and when she got more comfortable with the environment we tried the snuggling shots on the fur.

We did a few different set ups for this baby girl. Parents wanted a variety but they left the artistic choices to me so I went with whites, some pinks and a pop of colour for some of the shots.
