Maternity Session By The Ocean - River District, Vancouver

I did this maternity session for a very special person. Mom is my dear friend and fellow newborn photographer. They were on the fence about getting maternity photos done at first. But we found an evening that worked for all of us and did a last minute mini session. I am very happy that we made it work and the weather was on our side because the results are breathtaking! Talk about no planning ahead and ending up with amazing results!!!

Kim is absolutely gorgeous in this green maternity gown from https://www.sewtrendyaccessories.com/ and she is wearing one of my handmade flower crowns in some of the shots. I normally do two outfits for maternity sessions, but here we went for the one for our mini session. We had some good laughs and some awesome BTS shots from that evening that I won’t share here! LOL But these parents will surely make cute babies!

I’m in love with this little park in the River District, South Vancouver for maternity sessions. It’s the perfect spot to get both beach shots and the iconic Vancouver photos with the greenery! And that golden hour was the cherry on top! There were a few dogs passing by, but our models here are dog lovers and dog owners so we didn’t mind the little pause and chat moments!

I know that they have some of these photos framed and installed in their nursery! What a great way to cherish these memories and be reminded of every single day!
