9 Month Old Sitter Photo Session

This sitter session is one of my favourites. We planned all the details, from the props to colour coordination to outfit choices, months in advance with mom. Multiple emails, phone calls and text messages lead to this beautifully planned session for baby Lana and her family.

Mommy originally wanted to do the session earlier. But I suggested we wait till Lana can sit by herself, hence the name “Sitter Session”. The sitting phase happens any time between 6-9 months and is different for every baby. The goal is to photograph them at a stage where they can comfortably sit by themselves. That gives us many options in terms of positioning and props. Where as before that age you can only have them laying on their backs or their tummies and that eliminates many cute poses.

The session went so well! Lana herself was not the smiliest kid but her big brother was super cute, wanted to be included and gave us some sweet smiles.

Family were so happy with their images. They ended up ordering all their images in matted prints and gifted some to grandparents.
