Belly To Baby Maternity To Newborn Session Vancouver - Baby Zaya

Hello everyone! This session that I’m writing about today is a great example of the full services that we provide. Most families that come to us book both maternity and newborn sessions with me. Working with the same photographer for both of these photo sessions allows you to not only get a cohesive gallery of images, but also saves you time and helps you build a relationship with that photographer. Many of our clients keep coming back for milestone and birthday photos as well. Once you find a photographer that you like and they understand your needs and can attend to your style, why shop around?

This gorgeous family was referred to me by one of their close friends and we hit it off from the first meeting. I ended up doing multiple sessions for them before and after their baby was born. But for the sake of this blog post we are focusing on their maternity and newborn sessions, from belly to baby! It’s so special to capture photos of your baby in your belly, and then afterwards when they are born and still very small!

For the maternity session, mama wanted to do something unique and different, with a very special gown that she found herself. As well as some Fall pictures with the leaves and some photos at the beach. We got lucky with the weather and were able to get the images that she wanted all in one of our favourite spots in Vancouver. The photos with the pink dress and this special location were so popular that I ended up adding them to our services!!!

For the newborn session, we did an in-studio session with the baby as well as some family photos with mommy, daddy, and baby. They loved all the props, and we picked out the best colours that suited their little princess! The angel wings photos were on the top of their list and we got a very cute photo with that setup!

Mommy cried, so did I, at her viewing appointment and they ended up ordering albums for themselves and extra ones to gift to grandparents. I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of their journey from the beginning! Here are some of the photos:
