All White Cake Smash

Cake Smashes are so much fun! I usually try to do multiple setups to get a variety.

Now this family didn’t want to do family photos because dad had broken his arm and didn’t want pictures with his cast! Talk about bad timing!! So we ended up only photographing their boy for this session.

Mommy asked for an all-white set up with white balloons and a white cake. It was magical! Until they arrived and we realized that baby was scared of balloons! He didn’t want to be near them or touch them!

It took us about an hour and trying different setups until he warmed up to the balloons and was okay being around them. But then he didn’t like his cake so much either LOL. But he LOVED the bathtub! And we got some smiley photos there.

There is not much you can do when the bub is not happy with the whole photo situation and the setups. But I think we ended up with adorable photos anyways. With some patience and tricks, we managed to capture this moment beautifully for this family.
