FAQ’s Maternity
+ When is the best time for maternity photos?
The best time for maternity photos is between 28-33 weeks of pregnancy. Please note that we don’t do maternity sessions after 35 weeks.
+ How long is a maternity session? Do you offer studio sessions?
Our maternity sessions are 1 - 1.5 hours long. We offer both studio and outdoor maternity sessions in Vancouver.
+ When should I book my maternity session?
We always recommend booking at least 2 months in advance to make sure you get a spot. It’s a good idea to book your photographer around 18-20 weeks of pregnancy.
+ Do you provide dresses for maternity photos?
Yes! We have a beautiful client closet to choose from. These gowns are specially designed for maternity pictures and look amazing in photos. You can use 2-4 different gowns free of charge. You are more than welcome to bring an outfit of your own as well.
+ Can my husband and other kid(s) be in the pictures as well?
Absolutely! Couples and family photos are included in all of our sessions.
+ Do you provide hair and make-up?
Hair and make-up are not included in our services at this time. However, we have a list of amazing artists that we can recommend.
+ Can I bring my pet?
Pets are welcome in photo sessions. Please double-check with us before bringing your pet along.
+ How long does it take to receive my images?
It takes about a week to get a proofing gallery and another 2-3 weeks to finish the edits once you have made your selection. The sooner you make your selection the faster we can get your photos ready.
+ Can I get the digital files?
Yes, you will receive high-resolution digital images via a download link. Prints can be ordered for extra fees.
FAQ’s Newborn
+ When is the best time for newborn photos?
The best time to get those cute newborn photos is between 7-12 days after birth. Please note that we don’t do studio newborn sessions after 14 days. Lifestyle in-home sessions can be done within the first month after birth.
+ When should I book my newborn session?
The sooner the better! You can book your newborn session in your second trimester and as soon as you have a confirmed due date. Do NOT wait till your baby is born to book a session.
+ What if my baby arrives early or late? Can I reschedule?
We will book you a tentative date for the session based on your due date and if your baby arrives early or late we can reschedule. We ask you to inform us as soon as your baby is here, so we can find another date that will work.
+ How long is a newborn session?
Our newborn sessions are 2-3 hours long. Every baby is different, some sessions are shorter and some babies take longer to settle.
+ Can you come to my home to take pictures of the baby?
Yes! We offer in-home newborn sessions. The most popular is the lifestyle in-home session where we use natural light and the environment of your home to tell the story of your family. We will take the pictures on your bed or couch and we can use your swaddles for the baby. Studio props can be added for extra fees.
+ Can I include my other kids?
Family photos and sibling photos are included in all sessions. Pets are also welcome with prior planning.
+ How long does it take to see my photos?
Your photos will be ready for viewing around 2 weeks after your session. And it takes about 2 more weeks to finalize your edits. Products and prints may take up to 2 months to arrive.
+ Do you provide the props and clothes?
We provide all the props and wraps for babies. You don’t have to bring anything for your newborn. Moms can also use our maternity gowns for family photos. We do NOT provide clothing for dads or siblings.
+ Do you provide hair and make-up?
Hair and make-up are not included in our services at this time. However, we have a list of amazing artists that we can recommend
FAQ’s Family and Kids
+ Do you do cake smash?
Yes! We offer cake smash/ birthday photography. Contact us for details on setups and what is included.
+ Do you do outdoor sessions?
We offer both outdoor and studio family sessions for kids of all ages.
+ What kind of milestone sessions do you offer?
The most popular milestone sessions are 3 months, 6-8 months (sitter sessions), and cake smash birthday sessions. But we are happy to photograph your kids at any stage.
+ Do you provide outfits?
Clothing is not provided for family photos at this time.
+ How long is a family session?
Family sessions are usually 1 hour long.
+ Can you come to my home for family photos?
Yes! We can definitely come to you to take pictures of your family. We will require lots of natural light to be able to take great photos. Please send us a few pictures of your home so we can determine better if an in-home session is a good fit.
